Minette

Last year, my parents went on a trip to France to do the Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle ( Camino de Santiago) pilgrimage, which they had been looking forward to for a long time. Unfortunately, they had to cut their trip short due to an injury. Before they went home, they spent a few days in a guesthouse in the town of Brécy, which had a lot of cats. The kitty in the painting is the matriarch of those cats, named Minette. My parents asked me to immortalize her as a souvenir from this wonderful but too short trip.

Oil on canvas.
